Coinpool shutting down!, posted Aug 14, 2014 at 02:11

Hi all,

Please withdraw all your coins from this pool. We will close it for good 17 September. We will use resources on Anoncoin itself with the comming new features, so instead of running a low hashrate pool. It's also a waste of your energy :)

Please check out https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Mining_pools or https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin/wiki/Comparison-of-mining-pools and for better pool options!

We're shutting down the stratum server now, so that miners that still mines here don't waste power on nothing. :)

Best regards, The staff

Account lock update & fee changes!, posted Jun 6, 2014 at 06:59

Great news miners!

We decided that a locked account can only be locked for three hours if it get locked by an accident. Meaning if you bruteforce an account, it will be permanently locked until you contact support. But in any normal situation the account will be unlocked within 3hours.

We have also altered the fees! Fee is now 0.4% and will move towards 0.3%. As well as the transaction fee sent to the network when withdrawing ANC is set to 0.0001 ANC.

Happy mining!

Transaction fees set to lowest limit., posted Mar 31, 2014 at 23:36

transaction fees by 100x! :)

New pool is up!, posted Dec 23, 2013 at 23:55

Upgrade plan, posted Dec 23, 2013 at 14:49

We're soon finished with the new pool setup. Please check back on this site often now, when we're finished we will shut down the stratum server since we're having new URLs both for mining and web then. This frontend will stay up so people can withdraw their coins for a coulple of months in the future. However on a new URL which will be provided at this URL.

User accounts and workers will be moved to the next pool frontend, so no new registration is needed. The balance will not follow, but as said above, you're free to cash out from this frontend a couple of months into the future.

Reboot on critical router, posted Dec 11, 2013 at 03:04

A reboot on a router at our ISP is required. The servers will be unreachable for about 5min really soon. Sorry for this problem.

Great news!, posted Dec 6, 2013 at 00:23

We're ordering new hardware! This time we specs up with 6core Xeon 13Mb, 32Gb ram and 6x SAS disks. We're sorry to inform you that a little fee must be set then. But no more disconnects and problems! We have also hired more people to work on this.

Some solved, created new ones., posted Dec 5, 2013 at 01:48

You might have some disconnects sometimes against this pool. The reason for this is hardware. We didn't expect so many miners, and solved some bottlenecks by upgrading both cpu and ram, now the bottleneck is I/O. Mysql is currently writing over 100gb+ a day, this is the problem. We're working on getting the server on disks with more speed. We're also looking at possible ways to tweak mysql and other resources using a lot of I/O, but when it's mostly write activities it's less to do since you can't cache it.

IRC Support., posted Nov 28, 2013 at 15:30

People in the IRC support are living in GMT+1, and there is no guarantee that the people there is sitting at the computer just to wait for you to come screaming about help. If you got a problem and no one is answering, please wait (which includes you don't leave the IRC page) or send an mail in a mannered way. Then we will help you with your issues.

If you don't live in GMT+1 or any similar timezones like GMT+2 or GMT, it might be best to send an mail.

If you start screaming, we simply ignore you and you will be left out with your own screaming.

I hate screaming, and last night I woke up for the last time because of mega screaming in the channels because someone tried to deposit to an bitcoin address, while this is an anoncoin pool.

Note that this is a 0% fee pool and when we help, we do it because we want to help you, not because you paid us for it with fees. So if you want our help, it's not a good idea to start screaming.

Looking on a upgrade, posted Nov 22, 2013 at 15:16

We have been tiped by dyoungii (Thanks!) about upgrading from MMFCE-NG to MMCFE-MPOS. We have not yet looked into the upgrade issues but from what we have heard it shouldn't be any problem.

This will also include VARDIFF which will indirectly make the pool more reliable for some users that have experienced problems.

Hotfix - downgrade 0.7.5

Windows binaries released: https://anoncoin.net/downloads/ Signed by Meeh.

Hoping to get binaries for lin/osx ready within next day or two.

This release still have the new protocol in place when we hit block 87777.

Source: https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin

Abstract: It seems like an yet unknown patch between bitcoin 0.6.9 and bitcoin didn't like the calculations Anoncoin used. Messages(blocks alerts, etc) between nodes got delayed, and some pools reported crashing. We have locked into a "last known good block".

More info is comming.

Goto %appdata% (type it in the dialog after pressing windows+r), then click into the Anoncoin folder. Delete all files except wallet.dat.

If you wish to contribute to find this yet unknown bug, please send in your debug.log as a PM or mail.

DDoS attack, posted Oct 4, 2013 at 22:18

A attack is ongoing against a customer on the same switch as us on the data center. This is currently making coinpool a bit unstable. We're gonna move the route now to a core router at our ISP instead. This will be done within the next two hours. Sorry for the problems it casued you!

Anoncoin - Protocol switch, posted Aug 20, 2013 at 19:40

Anoncoin had a protocol switch!

This means the next few blocks are going to be really unstable in difficulty, but it should be stable after some blocks. This because of it was around 500Mh/s in the network at the protocol switch. Which made the diff bounce up, then down again, and now up, next is down, and you get the point. After a while the difficulty will be stable.

The virtual machine coinpool is running on is changing hypervisor for better uptime and quality of service. This will happen today at some time, then again a few days later. The virtual machine won't be down longer than it takes to reboot the system. Happy mining!
